Born on the Island of Cyprus in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Chef Christakis lakovou is a well-kept secret.

His son, Marios Iakovou, has brought his father’s cuisine to San Francisco through his venture Greek Town: an eatery in the heart of the downtown financial district.

Chef Christakis back home is a true food master, awarded five prestigious Gold Medalist Executive awards in Greek and Mediterranean Cuisine, influencing parts of the Asia Minor food palette. The city of Limassol was his original stomping grounds, founding The Old Limassol restaurant and providing food tastings at hotels and to dignitaries across the globe. 

Famous for his must-have food tastings: moussaka, keftedes, traditional souvlaki and vegetarian dishes, Chef Christakis has provided an avenue for new culinary teachings.

We are glad to announce that we are open six days a week, and are providing private events and catering services.
